Try as I may, I never seem to find the time to finish some of these quilting projects! It seems as though I get an inspiration faster than I can complete the last 'inspiration'. I recently, joined a quilters group, who thinks if I don't buy fabric (a trek which is, truely, almost better than sex and eating... almost!)that I'll use up my 'stash' in the projects I'm working on. Yet the only thing it's done is make me want to start one more project to use up my 'stash'. It doesn't mean I've gotten rid of any more of my UFOs (un-finished objects), just added to them! It's easy NOT buying fabric online, as I tend to want to go in person to SEE and especially, FEEL the fabric... how silky it is. But, put me in very close proximity of a good quilt shop and I HAVE to just peek- then, of course, BUY! I try not to, okay, I'm just going in to pay for a class... then I spy this GORGEOUS fabric that's leaning 'oh, so provocatively' against the other bolts near the register. It whispers my name .... I'm dead! Hoisting it up on the cutting table only makes be want to have some (!), LOTS, but then I realize it doesn't need to be much. If it's really gorgeous, stunning, unusual, well, then I must have a yard or two. The only control I have on the amount is that the nicer quilt shops charge up to $10 a yard and unless I have a definite project for it (..."no, I just NEED it"...), my Yankee blood keeps me from spending too much. Ah..... my love affair with Robert Kauffman, RJR, Timeless Treasures....

And yes, I am a member of GHQG. I'm a member of the Heritage Quilters chapter since about 1994. :-)

Yeah, Tracey! Sorry about the email posting. This is the first blog I've ever done and only because I couldn't post a message to you until I registered into an account w/ Google.
Not sure how to post pictures, as I have lots of quilts/techniques I'd like to post. I'll learn.
Did you go to sharing day?
