Woven Tumbling Blocks?

These wonderful 'Tumbling Blocks" table runners are actually tubes of fabric, pressed flat and woven to create the tumbling block pattern, then the border (which is sewn on the front ,at the same time as the one on the back) is sewn all the way around, add a binding and they are done! The inside seams on the borders are all that holds the woven tubes in place. This was taught at a class in a LQS in CT, but the woman teaching it said she learned it from a woman in a LQS in PA, while visiting her mom.

I have seen this, but not been allowed to take a picture of it or get a pattern for it as it is a "special" taught one time in a store. Is there ANYWHERE on-line that I can get a free copy for this Woven Tumbling Block pattern? (mejs2@verizon.net)

I was taught this in a class at my LQS by a woman who saw in hanging in a fabric shop in the mid-west. (visiting her mom). She had her mom convince the owner to show her how to do it and then her mom taught it to her. She's just passing on the method. I've never seen a pattern or another class on it.

Two ladies at last weeks ASG meeting made these exact table toppers. They took a class. I am going to have to search the net for a pattern.
