My daughter Julie made this GREAT cake for Mother's day (I just happened to get it early in the week, since we will be on vacation soon). She is going to culinary school and knows I don't eat too much cake (oh, okay, pan-fried angel food is different!!), but made this for us to enjoy. These are her first marzapan roses....The carrots were also marzapan and looked better than regular carrots look. Tasted as good as it looked...., if I do say so myself!!
Too bad I tried it out before taking a picture of it first....

Oh, that is a good looking cake. Carrot cake is my favorite, well right behind poppyseed.
